Board of Advisors
Throughout your collegiate journey, you'll have your own board of advisors to guide you.
The Board of Advisors provides you with an integrated approach to advising, taking into account your academic, personal and career goals. You will consult with your board members to make informed decisions about how best to cultivate the leadership skills, global perspective and breadth of knowledge necessary to move through the world with confidence.
SUMMIT Advisor
Before you even arrive on campus, you will be paired with a SUMMIT Advisor. This professional academic advisor works closely with you throughout your time at the college, guiding you to experiences that align with both your short-term and long-term academic and career goals.
SUMMIT Peer Advisor
During orientation, you will also receive SUMMIT Peer Advising through a team of trained upper-class students who model academic success, promote connections to campus resources, and help ease your transition to college during their first semester.
Major Advisor
After you declare your major—usually by the end of your second year—you will select a major advisor, a faculty member who provides discipline-specific expertise and can guide you to careers related to your interests.
Career Advising
Throughout your time at Agnes Scott, you will have access to career advising opportunities, such as internship and career coaching, in addition to the SUMMIT Career Connect network of professionals. Career advisors will provide one-on-one and workshop coaching, Alumnae@Agnes events, and recruiter visits to expose you to career literacy and professional opportunities.
